Who We Are

Gone for Good is a NAID® AAA-certified secure document destruction and e-waste recycling company. We were founded in 2006 by United Ability (formerly United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham) to help businesses deal with sensitive documents, unmanageable paper files, and broken or outdated electronics. We specialize in both on-site and off-site product destruction, as well as kitting, assembling, and packaging. Our services keep customers in compliance with privacy laws and help protect them from devastating security breaches and potential lawsuits.

What sets us apart from our competitors is our workforce. Gone for Good provides meaningful employment for approximately 100 adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. For many of these individuals, employment provides not only a paycheck, but a sense of independence and purpose. When you hire Gone for Good, you can feel good knowing all profits are used to support programs at United Ability. And, in addition to helping people in the community, you’re helping the planet. We recycle enough paper annually to save more than 18,000 trees.
